Dear Parade Participants:
The City of Roanoke Rapids Parks and Recreation Department would like to thank you for participating in the Roanoke Rapids Christmas Parade. Your support and participation in this special event are sincerely appreciated by our community. We have provided some general information below that will be of great use to you and to the smooth success of our parade:
There will be a drop off spot. Vehicles may drive down line- up street drop off, then TURN RIGHT at Franklin Street, go over the RR tracks and exit. There is no entrance/exit for drop off at 13th and Roanoke Ave.
Staging area is located on 13th St. and Roanoke Ave. Parking is available at Kirkwood Adams Comm. Ctr.
Note: BANDS ARE ASKED TO PLAY ONLY CHRISTMAS MUSIC. Please keep pace with the parade and only do exhibitions in front of the Judging area. BE SURE TO PLAY CHRISTMAS MUSIC IN FRONT OF THE JUDGING AREA. We know that your school will be proud that you are representing them!
Once your participation has been confirmed, you will be contacted by a member of the Parks & Rec. staff the week prior to the parade.
Please enter on Hinson Street, right on Franklin St., cross over RR tracks onto Vance St./13th St. and go into the parking lot. We will need a representative to check in at the check in station.

IMPORTANT: (As per rules). Entries must have Christmas theme attached or represented on entry. You will be issued a number at the check-in station the day of the parade. The Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to approve or deny participation.
To enter the parade, Commercial entries such as businesses $20.00 entry fee and Non-commercial entries such as civic groups, non-profits, churches $10.00 entry fee - due with your application and 2 canned goods are due at Check in on the day of the parade. Other donations are gladly accepted to ensure a successful parade. High School Bands and Fire/Rescue are exempt from the $10 fee, but are encouraged to bring the canned goods to check in.
The application and fee can be brought in person to TJ Davis Recreation Center, 400 East 6th Street, Roanoke Rapids or mailed to Parade, RR Parks and Recreation, PO Box 38, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870.

I do hereby release the City of Roanoke Rapids, support staff, and volunteers from any and all liability of any kind for any loss or damage to any property during my participation (to include anyone in my group) in the Roanoke Rapids Community Christmas Parade. I further agree to hold harmless, defend, and indemnify, the same listed above, against any and all claims, losses, damages, or liability of any kind out of my participation (or anyone in my group) in the Roanoke Rapids Community Christmas Parade.
